Kitchen Science with the 3D Printer
Quick science exploration with a few 3D printed items. 3D printer is a great tool for creating identical objects for testing. Different printing settings allow for quick change of a single variable. Type of material can also be a variable as many materials with different properties are available that print under the same conditions as plain PLA.
The quick experiments in these videos involve exploration of surface tension and density.
The Stainless Steel infused filament is from Proto Pasta. Items printed on a Printrbot Play.
A second purpose of this post is playing with the idea of short form video documentation for student projects rather than spending the time to create long form video presentations.
