Help Spend $1,299 on littleBits

Hey MakerEd Friends! Help me spend $1,299 at the littleBits store. My school was one of the CTE Makeover Challenge winners. We budgeted $1,299 for a STEAM Education Class Pack which has dropped in price to $1,199.95. The pack is billed as being suitable for 4-16 students. I see littleBits as being a great starter tool for introducing classes to the makerspace and doing starter design challenges. The problem is that many of the classes in my school have 30-32 kids. The Workshop Set is perfect but a little out of the budget at $1,999.

littleBits is a sponsor of the CTE Makeover Challenge and are generously sending all the winners a STEAM Student Set, a Logic Boost and an Arduino kit. I contacted littleBits and there is also an educator’s discount of 5% and they sent a $10 off code. All together it is pretty close but not quite there.

So… what would you order to stretch the budget to work with 32 students? Any tips or strategies to get the most bang for the buck?
