4th of July – Circuit Playground Express Project

Happy 4th of July! My daughter and I played around with creating a 4th of July themed Circuit Playground Express Project.

I got ahold of an Adafruit Circuit Playground Express Developer Edition kit at a Microsoft demo during ISTE17 last week. The cool thing about the new board is that the programming can be done on a browser at the MakeCode.com website and then saved to the board via USB. There are no drivers or software to install. This is great news for schools with locked down computers! Be careful that you don’t buy the original Circuit Playground as the original needs to be programmed like a regular Arduino board.

The Circuit Playground Express Developer Kit is also available through DigiKey.
