Equipment in demo: Silhouette Cameo vinyl cutter, Ultimaker 3 3D Printer and a 3Doodler Create 3D pen.
Software in demo: picsvg.com to vectorize drawing, Silhouette Studio Designer Edition to import SVG and cut on vinyl cutter, Tinkercad to extrude SVG to create STL, Cura to slice STL for 3D printing, Morphi for 3D design on iPad.
Other design software that we use in our makerspace: Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Gravit Designer, Graphic for iPad, Corel Draw, Microsoft Publisher and Fusion 360. That is in addition to some machine specific software.

The 3D printed Hidden Figures – Friendship 7 model is my original design. It won Formlabs 3D Design Awards for Top Educational Model. An overview of the process to design this model can be found in this article.
Gumball Design Challenge Ideas: The Incredible 3D Printing Gumball Gallery was an idea I developed to showcase 3D design. I worked with a local middle school CTE teacher that used the idea as a class project and sold student design in a machine in the main office. See her student work here. That in turn led to the Ultimaker Gumball Capsule Challenge at Maker Faire Bay Area.
